LCC Police Academy recognizes faculty

 

 

Joe Jalomo, third from left, was recently recognized by the Laredo Community College Regional Police Academy for his role in helping LCC achieve outstanding results in law enforcement education.  The LCC Police Academy has been recognized as the best law enforcement trainer in Texas via an initiative funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.  The mission of the project is to determine common practices among the state’s top producing colleges for programs that require certification or a licensure exam.   The LCC Police Academy was chosen to represent the discipline of law enforcement training.  The local recognition was announced during a meeting of the LCC Police Academy advisory committee.  Those present at the meeting included, from left, LCC Police Academy Ray Garner, Laredo Police Chief Agustin Dovalina, Jalomo and Rio Grande City Police Chief Guadalupe Marquez, who sits as the president of the academy’s advisory group.

 

 

 

Danny Garcia, third from left, received a commendation from the Laredo Community College Regional Police Academy for helping the college achieve outstanding instruction in jailer education programs.  The LCC Police Academy has earned a unique distinction as the top law enforcement trainer among Texas colleges.  The recognition came through an initiative funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.  The local recognition was given at a meeting of the LCC Police Academy advisory committee.  Among those present, from left, Ray Garner who directs the LCC Police Academy, Webb County Sheriff’s Chief Administrator Jose Pepe Salinas, Garcia and Rio Grande City Police Chief Guadalupe Marquez, president of the academy's advisory group.
