Memorial Scholarship established at LCC
The Ramirez and Lozano families of Zapata on November 11 announced their contribution of $100,000 to establish the Luis Lozano, Jr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship at Laredo Community College. The gift was made to the LCC Education Foundation during the first meeting of the Fort McIntosh Commander’s Club on the downtown campus. Attending the presentation were Ramon H. Dovalina, LCC President; Pat Ramirez, Luis A. Lozano, his wife Edna Amanda Lozano, their granddaughter Sarah, Isela Lozano, Renato Ramirez, Ed Sherwood, president of the LCC Foundation; and Ramiro Martinez, President of the LCC Board of Trustees. Also contributing to the endowed scholarship were Mr. and Mrs. Juan A. Medina, not pictured.
