This summer, Laredo Community College is offering time saving advantages for students to complete semester-long courses in six weeks or less time. Registration for most “minimester” classes continues July 12 and 13 in the Admissions/Registration Office, located at the LCC main campus in University Hall, room 125.
College officials encourage interested students to enroll immediately, as space in the popular classes fill quickly.
“LCC students enjoy the fast-track option that the minimester courses offer in completing degree or certificate requirements,” said LCC Registrar Diana Rubio.
The short-term, college credit courses include an assortment of Internet courses, including art appreciation, introduction to the Internet, integrated software applications, introduction to computing, dance appreciation, principles of microeconomics, English, American literature, government, history, introduction to business and trade, management, legal and social environment business, intermediate college algebra, math for business and social science, music appreciation, psychology, growth and development, speech and early childhood education. The online classes begin July 14 and conclude August 18.
Traditional classes in computer information systems and criminal justice will also be offered from July 14 to August 10.
Three sections of real estate courses will also be offered. The first three-day section begins on July 27.
