offers more distance education courses
Laredo Community College students have more opportunities to use technology to get ahead in their academic studies. LCC has expanded its spring class schedule of online, distance education courses to include a new six-week session of more than 20 courses.
“Laredo Community College has extended its offerings of distance education courses to meet the high demand for online courses in a variety of subjects,” said Jerry Garza, Director of the Center for Distance Learning.
The online classes begin on March 31 and continue through May 12. Students may register for these courses beginning January 28 via the college’s OLE Web registration and student information system at www.laredo.edu.
Among the online courses to be offered are Principles of Accounting II, Art Appreciation, Legal and Social Environment of Business, Introduction to Computing, Principles of Macroeconomics, Composition I and II, American Literature I and II, American National Government, American State Government, U.S. to 1877, U.S. since 1877, College Algebra, Math for Business and Social Science, Music Appreciation, General Psychology, Human Sexuality, Growth and Development, Introduction to Sociology and Introduction to Early Childhood Education. Students can also register for these online courses at the LCC Admissions/Registration Office beginning January 28.
