Open House for new Child Development Center at LCC
College students and community will have a unique opportunity to preview the new Camilo Prada Child Development Center, located at Laredo Community College South, during an Open House on Saturday, September 11. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
“Laredo Community College is proud to open its first childcare center at the new LCC South campus,” said LCC Child Development Department Chair Gloria Juarez. “Students and the community are invited to meet the caring instructional staff and preview the state-of-the-art facilities.”
Parents are encouraged to bring their children. A variety of children’s activities will be offered and healthy refreshments will be served.
The children of LCC students and college employees are the first considered for openings at the new Prada Child Development Center, which has the latest equipment, and is preparing to become the first state certified child care center in Laredo. However, it is open to children from throughout the community, regardless of their affiliation with LCC.
The center is designed for children ages 2, 3 and 4 years of age.
