The Spring 2005 Class Schedule at Laredo Community College is now available. LCC students who are eligible to self advise can be the first to register online or by telephone.
Students can register early for spring classes to be offered at the LCC downtown campus on West End Washington Street or at the LCC South campus at 5500 South Zapata Highway.
“Students who can self-advise for classes at Laredo Community College are encouraged to get on the college’s fast track avenue to register early for the new spring term in 2005,” says LCC Admissions/Registration Director Felix Gamez.
Now through December 15, self-advised students can register via LCC’s On Line Enrollment (OLÉ) services available on the World Wide Web at http://ole.laredo.edu or by phone by dialing 721-5100 using a touch-tone phone.
The college’s OLE Web and Phone services are available to students from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. To self advise for classes, LCC students must have at least 9 college-level semester hours of credit, must have met college level readiness requirements, have declared a major to the Admissions/Registration Office and have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher.
For students who still need course advisement from a faculty member or counselor to register, Early Advisement will be held at both LCC campuses from November 8 to 11 and November 15 to 18 from 1 to 6 p.m.
Students who have declared a major in their admissions file should visit the instructional department pertaining to their career program. Students who are undecided, or have not declared a major should report to the LCC Counseling Center, either at Memorial Hall (formerly University Hall), room 107, or the Billy Hall Student Center, room 116.
Students who receive early advisement can register early by using OLÉ Web or OLÉ Phone from November 8 to December 15. For students who register early by phone or online, the deadline to pay class tuition and fees is December 16 by 5 p.m. at the LCC Bursar’s Office, either at Memorial Hall, room 121, or Billy Hall Student Center, room 127.
The spring offerings include day, evening and distance education courses, which make it convenient for students on the go to obtain a college education. With tuition for in-district students at half the cost of state universities, LCC offers a more affordable, quality learning experience. LCC also offers plenty of financial aid and special Early Enrollment programs for high school students.
The Spring 2005 Class Schedule is available at the LCC Admissions Registration Office of both campuses, including Memorial Hall, room 125, and Billy Hall Student Center, room 113. The class schedule is also available online by logging on to www.laredo.edu.
