New and prospective students at Laredo Community College will be able to register early for the Spring 2005 Semester through December 15, including the Thanksgiving holiday, with the fast and convenient benefits of LCC’s On Line Enrollment (OLÉ) services on the World Wide Web and telephone.
Although the LCC main and south campuses are scheduled to close for the holiday from November 24 to 26, students who took advantage of early advisement and those who can self advise for classes will be able to register with OLÉ Web (http://ole.laredo.edu) or OLÉ Phone (721-5100). LCC will reopen on Monday, November 29.
With OLÉ, students can avoid long registration lines and create their ideal class schedule. Those who register early for the Spring 2005 semester with the OLÉ system also have an opportunity to win exciting prizes.
LCC student organizations are distributing an information card with details on how students can register early and sign up for an opportunity to win a prize. LCC t-shirts and other college items are among the prizes that students can win if they get “OLE’d.”
The college’s OLE Web and Phone services are available to students from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., including weekends and the holiday.
To self advise for classes, LCC students must have at least 9 college-level semester hours of credit, must have met college level readiness requirements, have declared a major to the Admissions/Registration Office and have a grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher.
For students who register early, the deadline to pay class tuition and fees is December 16 by 5 p.m. at the LCC Bursar’s Office at either Memorial Hall, room 121 (LCC main campus) or Billy Hall Student Center, room 127 (LCC South).
The spring offerings include day, evening and distance education courses, which make it convenient for students to obtain a college education. With tuition for in-district students at half the cost of state universities, LCC offers a more affordable, quality learning experience. LCC also offers plenty of financial aid and special Early Enrollment programs for high school students.
The Spring 2005 Class Schedule is available at the LCC Admissions Registration Office of both campuses, including Memorial Hall, room 125, and Billy Hall Student Center, room 113. The class schedule is also available online by logging on to www.laredo.edu.
