LCC kids camps offer shelter from Laredo sun
Parents can protect their children from Laredo’s sweltering heat by sending them to a recreational camp held in the cool confines of an air-conditioned gym. The second session of Laredo Community College’s indoor camps, including basketball and arena soccer, starts Monday, June 21.
The camps will meet June 21 to 25 and June 28 to 30 in the Maravillo Gymnasium at LCC’s main campus near downtown. Basketball camp is $55 per participant and meets from 1 to 4 p.m.; soccer camp is $35 per child and meets from 4:15 to 7:10 p.m.
To sign up or for more information about these camps, call the LCC Kinesiology Department at 721-5326. Summer office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
