Discussing Workforce and Education on the Border
Dr. Ramon H. Dovalina, Laredo Community College President, welcomed the region’s leaders in workforce development education Monday for a workshop hosted by LCC Monday for members of the Texas Border Infrastructure Coalition (TBIC). The workshop yielded concrete strategies for funding of the state’s community colleges which will be presented to the Texas Legislature. Also addressing the gathering were, seated from left, State Senator Judith Zaffirini, Laredo Mayor Betty Flores and Wanda Garza, of South Texas College and Chair of the TBIC Workforce and Education Committee.
