LCC showcases vocal illusions of Lynn Trefzger Tuesday

Comedienne and ventriloquist Lynn Trefzger will unload a trunk full of zany characters, which come to life on the Laredo stage Tuesday, October 5, during special performances at both the south and downtown campuses of Laredo Community College.

The campus entertainer’s performances, sponsored by the LCC Student Activities Office, will be held at 10 a.m. in the Billy Hall Student Center (5500 South Zapata Highway) and at 1 p.m. in the Kazen College Center (West End Washington Street).  Admission is free and open to students and the community.

Trefzger has delighted audiences of all ages across the country with her ability to bring together amazing figure manipulation and exceptional vocal illusions.  Trefzger writes and develops her own original and highly creative routines.  She also thrives on her interaction with the audience.

The talented Trefzger received national attention beginning on TV’s popular “Star Search.”  Since then, she has performed with artists such as Jeff Foxworthy, Sinbad, Randy Travis, Kevin Meany and others.

Trefzger and her many voices have appeared on ABC, TNN, A&E and Lifetime channels.  She has been nominated by George Schlatters’ American Comedy Awards twice for funniest comedian and by the National Association for Campus Activities for variety entertainer of the year and comedy entertainer of the year.

Critics describe Trefzger as “an excellent technician, and a bright, inventive comedian…the result is a gem of a routine that could bring a smile to the face of the Sphinx.”
