Gator Aid benefit for LCC Science Center on April 23
Ticket sales continue for the community to enjoy an evening with a wild flair at the Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center at Laredo Community College. The third annual Gator Aid dinner is set for Friday, April 23 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Gator Aid will be held outdoors at the LCC LBVE Science Center on the north side of the campus. A catered dinner of either top sirloin or red snapper and other delicacies will be served. “Gator-ritas,” the Science Center’s version of the margarita, will also be available.
The evening function will feature romantic music under the stars performed by the LCC Guitar Ensemble, under the direction of Instructor Cain Budds. Tours of the Science Center’s newest exhibits will also be offered throughout the evening.
Admission to the benefit is $40 per person and includes a one-day family pass to the LBVE Science Center. Proceeds from the benefit will aid the growing gator family and other native specimens housed at the Center. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.
Gator Aid is a grand celebration observing the fifth year anniversary of the Science Center.
