Academic Advisement

All students must meet with an academic or faculty advisor at least once a semester prior to registration of classes. Students who are pursuing an Associate of Arts/Science, Core Curriculum completion, or have not met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements, must meet with an academic advisor at the Student Success Center (Ft. McIntosh or South Campus). Students who are pursuing a Certificate or Associate of Applied Science program must meet with a faculty advisor at the respective department of student’s declared major.

Advisors will provide students with valuable information regarding course requirements and/or program changes which may affect students’ academic progress. Students are encouraged to bring their program degree guide and a copy of their transcript prior to meeting with an advisor.
