                                       EXAM INSTRUCTIONS 

I.          Report to the front desk at the Lerma Peña Building (the learning center) between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. A clerk will escort you to the lab room where the exam will be administered. If you’re testing at the South campus, report to the appropriate testing lab. (it’s on the course log-in page)

 II.         You must present a picture I.D. to enter the lab room. No food or drinks allowed in the lab room. You must sign a log to use the lab. Please do not bring visitors or children with you into the lab.

 III.       You are not allowed to leave the lab room once you begin your exam. Your exam ends the moment you leave the lab room.

 IV.       Please turn off and put away cell phones. You will not be allowed to make or receive phone calls during the exam. You will not be allowed to check or send email or perform any web function not related to the exam while the exam is ongoing. FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THIS WILL RESULT IN THE TERMINATION OF YOUR EXAM AND A ZERO FOR THE TEST.

 V.        You may use the scratch paper provided by the learning center staff for the binary conversion problems, no other materials will be allowed. Please put your name, course and section number on the scratch paper and turn it in to the lab clerk when your exam is over. NO CALCULATORS ALLOWED FOR THE BINARY COVERSION PROBLEMS.

 VI.       You are not allowed to copy or print any portion of the exam.

 VII.      You will be allowed 1 ½ hours to complete the exam and review the exam results if desired.

 VIII.     You are not allowed to ask for assistance with the exam other than for procedural purposes.

 IX.       Please report any network or computer problem immediately to the lab assistants.  

X.        Lab assistants will be present during the exam. You must obey their instructions and authority in adhering to these guidelines.

 XI.       Report any complaints to your instructor or the Learning Center Director “Jose Regalado”.
