ALL NEW FIRST TIME IN COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES MUST ATTEND OUR NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION PROGRAM

Please complete this form to reserve your seat. Orientation is FREE of charge and ALL new incoming students must attend this orientation session in order to be advised and register for classes.

You must be a Graduating Senior or Graduating Junior in order to register for these Orientations.

Come meet and make friends with the people you will be spending the next two years with. We provide lunch, lots of fun, excitement, and door prizes with no cost to you.

Do you have your bacterial meningitis vaccine?

Did you know that starting October 1, 2013, all first-time students entering Laredo Community College 21 years and younger must submit evidence of having been vaccinated against Bacterial Meningitis at least 10 days prior to the first day of the semester? Legislation exempts students who are solely enrolled in online or distance education courses or students who are 22 years of age or older. Students may satisfy the Bacterial Meningitis requirement by one of the two following methods:

Evidence of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination Form � For Enrollment Purposes. Student must check a selection.

  1. Evidence of date of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccine administered; Date of Vaccine Expiration; that must be completed by a health practitioner or authorized designee; or, for high school students the campus nurse. Form must be completely filled out providing this information. We do not accept any medical records. Evidence of the vaccine must be within the past 5 years.

  2. Exemption

  3. A completed electronic and signed Exemption of the Meningococcal Vaccination Requirements for Reasons of Conscience form available through the Texas Department of State Health Services (DHSH). This form must be completed online at https://webds.dshs.state.tx.us/immco/ and submitted in person, this form is not valid if photocopied. If the student is 17 years of age or younger, the form must be signed by a parent or guardian who claims the student as a dependent.
Please keep in mind that all new students under the age of 22 MUST have this vaccination in place.
