of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Laredo College have once again
achieved a 100% first-time pass rate on the national licensure exam. Fifteen
students sat for the National Physical Therapy Examination for Physical
Therapist Assistants on July 9, 2019 and successfully passed the licensure
The LC PTA
Program has achieved a 100% first-time pass rate for seven of the last eight
years. LC students in the PTA Program have celebrated this accomplishment every
year from 2012 to 2019 with the exception of the year 2015.
“This is a
wonderful achievement and we are very proud of our graduates,” said Dr.
Esmeralda Vargas, PTA Program director and instructor. “This outcome reflects
the hard work of both the students and dedicated PTA Program faculty.”

The Physical Therapist
Assistant Program at LC was established in 1985 to meet the healthcare needs of
the community and the region. The PTA Program is accredited by the Commission
