Students enrolled in Transportation Technology
Programs will experience hands-on training with the most innovative technology
that is used in the automotive industry. The National Institute for Automotive
Services (ASE) requires quality programs such as ours to prepare students in
every possible automotive repair and services scenario.
“Our institution promotes excellence in vehicle
repair and services by providing in-depth instruction in vehicle design,
diagnosis and repair,” Laredo College President Ricardo J. Solis said. “The
emphasis and specializations in our programs prepare our students to be
competent vehicle specialists.”
Knowledgeable automotive professionals may earn a
salary of up to $26,000 a year in Automotive Technology, up to $42,000 a year
in Auto Collision Repair Technology and up to $50,000 a year in Diesel Engine
Mechanics & Repair.
Students enrolled in these specialized programs can
graduate with an Automotive Service Technician Certificate, Automotive
Electronics and Performance Technician Certificate, Automotive Collision Repair
Technology Certificate or Diesel Heavy Truck Technician Certificate. Our
experienced instructors will prepare students to be skilled technicians with a
broad knowledge in troubleshooting, maintenance, engine repair, power and
performance, diagnostics and more.
LC offers exceptional technical training that
will help students acquire the necessary skills for interior and exterior
repairs. There is a need for experts in this rapidly growing field, and our
college provides the necessary tools and high-quality instruction for students that
are aiming to become the next entrepreneurs or professionals in this high-demand
