Since its inception 75 years ago,
Laredo College has made a difference in the lives of thousands of men and women
each year by offering award-winning programs for high-demand careers. Many of
our graduates have become elected officials, public servants, healthcare
workers and pursued many other respected careers.
On Friday, May 13, Laredo College
held two commencement ceremonies at the Sames Auto Arena to celebrate over
1,000 newly minted Laredo College graduates and their academic achievements.
“A college degree or certificate
is an invaluable asset for anyone who wishes to pursue a skilled job or
career,” said LC Interim President Dr. Marisela Rodriguez Tijerina. “We have
great prospects for our 2022 Laredo College graduates as they embark on a new
journey upon reaching this significant milestone. We are confident that they
leave Laredo College with more knowledge, wisdom, and skills acquired through
our exceptional academic and workforce programs. Thank you for being a part of
our 75 years of history and legacy. We wish you success and prosperity in your
personal and professional lives.”
Student graduates received their
Associate of Arts Degree, Associate of Sciences Degree, Associate of Applied
Science Degree or Certificate of Completion during the College’s 75th
Commencement Ceremony. Many of our graduates are first-generation college
students, while others are proud to continue a family legacy of generations who
have graduated from our institution.
Laredo College trustees,
administrators, faculty, staff, honored guests and proud family members were
among those in attendance. Graduates cherished these moments as they concluded
this chapter in their lives. Congratulations to the Laredo College graduating
class of 2022!
