Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA)

 

Financial Aid & Veterans Affairs Services Centers are committed to help all our students accomplish their educational objectives by providing quality assistance. The TASFA Application is for State- Funded Grants only, not Federal Grants. It is recommended that you apply as early as possible due to awards are on a first- come, first- served basis.  The Texas Application for State Financial Aid is for students who are non-resident or foreign students.

 

Be reminded that State Grants are limited. To maximize your probabilities of receiving state funds, please be sure to submit all required documentation on or before priority deadlines. 

 

Here is a checklist of documents you will need to submit to the Financial Aid & Veterans Affairs Services Center – Laredo College

  • Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA)
  • Tax Documentation
    • Student/Spouse and/or parent(s) Tax Filers must submit an IRS Tax Return or Tax Return Transcript
    • Non-tax filers must submit an income information statement
  • Selective Service – Proof of Registration (males only between ages 18-25)

 

Students are encouraged to submit all necessary documentation for the Fall semester starting October 1st due to limited state funding. Student may apply for any available scholarships.
