Congratulations Graduates

 

 

Graduate caps and gowns may be picked up today May 6, 2021 between the hours of 8:30 am to 7:00 pm at Laredo College Ft. McIntosh Kazen Center

 

Following local authorities’ restrictions and following all COVID -19 safety protocols, each graduate will be issued a limited amount of tickets to the graduation ceremony.

 

Along with your cap and gown package, each graduate will be issued 4 (four) tickets to the event, UISD Student Activity Complex guidelines, safety protocol instructions and 1 (one) parking permit.

 

We encourage for all graduates and ticket holders to commute to the event in one vehicle due to the limited parking available.  Guest tickets will be required for admission.

 

Graduates needing special accommodations for participating in the ceremony must notify the College through the graduation email below in advance to ensure the availability of such arrangements.

 

On behalf of our administration, faculty, and staff, we look forward to welcoming you and your guests to the Laredo College 2021 Commencement Ceremony to be held May 7, 2021 at 7:00 pm at the United Independent School District Student Activity Complex (Gates will open at 6:00pm).

Degrees and Certificates

Laredo College offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science degrees, and certificates. Students must complete all course work identified in their program degree guide to be eligible for graduation.


Application for Graduation

Any student who plans to graduate from Laredo College must have a degree audit review processed by the Office of the Registrar & Admissions staff prior to the student's last semester. Students are urged to share the findings of the degree audit with their advisor.

Degrees and certificates are awarded three (3) times annually. To be considered a graduation candidate, students are urged to submit an application for graduation with the Office of the Registrar & Admissions.

The deadlines to apply for graduation are:

  • November 1, for Fall semester candidates
  • March 1, for Spring semester candidates
  • July 1, for Summer session candidates


There is a graduation ceremony only once each year in May.

Students that applied for graduation in the Fall semester and the Summer session may participate in the May graduation ceremony.

Students must notify the Office of the Registrar & Admissions by March 1 if they plan to participate in the May ceremony.

All candidates for degrees and certificates are encouraged to participate at the May graduation ceremony.
