If students meet one of the following criterions, they will not be required to challenge the TSI Assessment (TSIA) and will be eligible to enroll in college level courses relevant to their program and major.

Criteria expires 2 years from date of graduation. Student must enroll in ENGL 1301 and/or college-level Math within the first semester of college enrollment. Effective fall 2021, Laredo College will honor Texas College Bridge Certificates IF student meets the same TSIA or TSIA2 test scores required by MOU with LISD, UISD, Webb Consolidated ISD, Zapata ISD, and TAMIU. |
Military Active Duty Exemption |
Must be veteran, active duty personnel, or student who is serving or, for at least 3 years preceding enrollment, has served as a member of a reserve component of the U.S. armed services |
The Veterans Affairs Office certifies and issues a TSI-Military Exemption Form to student, which s/he must submit to the Advising Center. After, full exemption is granted in Reading, Writing, and Math. |
Credit Prior to Fall 1989 OR Degree Earned Exemption |
Must have a minimum of 3 sch earned prior to fall 1989 or must have earned a two or four-year degree (excluding certificates) from accredited institution |

Transfer Credit Exemption |
