The safety and well-being of our students, faculty and staff are always at the top of our agenda. With support of other departments, there is a continuing effort to keep our campuses safe and secure.
However, a truly safe campus can only be achieved through the cooperation of all students, faculty and staff. Knowing about us and what we can do for you will encourage cooperative efforts to prevent crime on our campuses.
Our Mission
The mission of the Campus Police Office is to protect the lives and property of students, faculty, staff, visitors and the college. By providing a safe and secure environment, this will foster the highest opportunity for learning to occur on our campuses.
The campus police officers are responsible for the enforcement of all state and local laws, as well as the policies and procedures of Laredo College. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide these and other services.

Services Offered
The Campus Police Office provides:
- a college-wide safety program
- safety and law enforcement presentations
- investigations of traffic accidents
- emergency first-aid (American Red Cross-certified)
- campus parking management
- police escorts to and from vehicle and/or building
- access to offices or buildings in emergency situations after normal business hours
- courtesy service
- battery jumper cables
- open locked vehicles
