The Key to Achieve and the Support to Succeed
Adult Education & Literacy programs funded by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) provide English language, math, reading, and writing instruction to help students acquire the skills needed to succeed in the workforce, earn a high school equivalency, or enter college or career training.
The Mission of the Adult Education & Literacy program is to equip adults with the educational opportunities necessary to become self-sufficient individuals and to provide a linkage to career pathways.
To promote and support a responsive and accountable system that creates value and supports local solutions to addressing the educational and workforce development needs of Adult Education & Literacy students, businesses, and community stakeholders.
Our Vision is to deliver education, workforce, and postsecondary education and training outcomes for students through innovative service delivery and partnerships that result in statewide alignments, efficiencies, and accountability.

Our Adult Education & Literacy program has dedicated staff helping individuals in furthering their education or looking for new job opportunites.
Free classes are available year-round at a variety of locations such as Ft. McIntosh campus, South campus, and various external sites throughout Webb, Jim Hogg, and Zapata counties.
