Determining Eligibility

In order to be eligible for financial aid, you must meet at least, the following basic eligibility requirements:

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  2. Meet U.S. Department of Education eligibility requirements:
    • Demonstrate financial need.
    • Have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate. 
    • Registering with Selective Service, if applicable.
    • Being a U.S. Citizen or Eligible Non-Citizen. 
    • Have a valid Social Security Number.
  3. Be enrolled as a regular student working towards an eligible degree or certificate program.

  4. Meet the standards of the LC Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy.
