Overview

The following set of courses have been adopted as a field of study for students seeking a Bachelor of Arts in Music. LC offers an AA Music Field of Study -Instrumental Track.  Below is the degree guide a student must follow closely as some courses have prerequisites. All courses must be completed before receiving degree.

Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Arts (AA) degree with a specialization in Instrumental Music. For additional information concerning the Music Field of Study - Instrumental Track or transferability of these degrees, please consult with advisors from the Visual & Performing Arts Department at (956) 721-5224.

The AA Music Field of Study - Instrumental Track is designed to prepare students for careers in the music field. This degree is designed to provide a strong 2-year foundation for students looking to transfer and continue their studies in music at any 4-year Texas university.
