ABOUT US
Learning, Engaging, & Academic Support through Data-drive Action (LEAD). The LEAD Program is a federally funded grant by the U.S Department of Education that runs from October 2023 through September 2028. The LEAD Project focuses on meeting students' social, emotional, and academic needs. We aim to equip students with the necessary resources for success in college while cultivating a supportive community to assist them throughout their journey at Laredo College.
PROJECT GOALS
- Increase the number of students that participate in First Year Experience through a Summer Bridge Program and creation of Portfolios.
- Increase revenues through matched endowment funds to support initiatives for academic success.
- Establish a system of high-quality data collection and analysis for informed data-driven decision making.
- Create the LEAD Center a space that is positive and identity-safe space where students are provided evidence based services, including LPC services, to advance student success.
- Increase learning and improved health by creating and implementing an eLearning Wellness Enhancement Hub using 21st Century tools to increase academic success.
- Increase the number of faculty that will use improved pedagogy to increase engaged student learning through professional developemnt opportunities.
