Overview
The Engineering Technology Program at Laredo College is an integrated, cross-disciplinary degree program that prepares the student for a career as an engineering technician in the field of either general engineering or land surveying. The Engineering Technology Program provides entry-level training for technicians to support engineers in the development of product systems, construction projects, as well as surveying projects that affect every aspect of daily life. Coursework includes a foundation in the principles of engineering, engineering design, computer-aided design, electronics, manufacturing processes, and Satellite assisted measurements. The program offers multiple exit points and various program credentials to better prepare graduates for employment in the workforce.

The Associate of Applied Science in Engineering Technology is a degree with an emphasis in general engineering or land surveying and is designed to prepare students for various career opportunities such as engineering technicians, and land surveyors. This program is intended to provide students with the skill set needed to enter the workforce. - 1Capstone Experience: SRVY 2340 Advanced Plane Surveying Capstone is a course taught in the last semester. The learning experiences in this course result in a consolidation of a student's educational programmatic experience.
