Overview
The Electrical Technology Program is committed to providing comprehensive educational services and training in the latest technology to obtain successful entry level employment in the Electrical Technology field. This is an intensive program that offers classroom instruction and practical experience in the electrical areas of residential, commercial and industrial. The Journeyman Electrician Assistant Certificate focuses on commercial/industrial wiring and controls. This advanced training provides students with higher marketability in the electrical field.

The Electrical Technology Program offers a 1-year certificate and a one semester Electrician Assitant that will prepare students for careers in the Electrical industry. It is designed to prepare students to enter the field as professionals in the electrical field.
The curriculum also incorporates the opportunity to learn and work in student-organized electrical field. As well as providing students with hands on knowledge and work experience, they acquire while working at one of the local electrical contractor’s company (ELPT 1281) during their internship.
Students in the Electrical Technology Program will have to purchase personal hand tools.
