Civil Engineering (Field of Study- University Transfer Plan)

Associate of Science

Overview

The following set of courses have been adopted as a field of study for students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.  Below is the suggested course order, students may decide to take certain courses based upon their semester of availability.  All courses must be completed before receiving degree.
Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Civil Engineering. For additional information concerning  the Civil Engineering field of study or transferability, please consult with advisors for the Natural Sciences Department at (956)721-5195.

Information

The AS degree in Civil Engineering is designed to prepare students for various career opportunities to become a Water Hygiene Engineer, Urban and Transport Planner, Design Engineer, and Environmental Engineer. This program is intended to provide a foundation on which the graduate can build a career in Civil Engineering as they transfer to a 4-year university.
