Laredo College is hosting Palomino Saturday, an open house event where current and prospective students can begin, continue or complete the enrollment and registration process for the fall semester.
Palomino Saturday is slated for Saturday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lerma-Peña Building at the Laredo College Ft. McIntosh Campus. The event is hosted on a weekend to ensure those who could not visit the college during the week can register and complete any pending items to enroll at LC.
“We look forward to working with our newest and returning Palominos,” Director of Recruitment and Dual Enrollment Julio Reyes said. “This event allows students not to wait until the last minute to register for classes. Our staff is excited to welcome all students to ensure that they know that Laredo College is the best place for them to continue their education.”
Laredo College staff from the Admissions Office, Financial Aid Office, Advising Center, Registrar’s Office, Bursar’s Office, Recruitment and Dual Enrollment, Assessment Center and Veterans Services will assist students and answer any questions about the college’s affordable, high-demand programs and careers.
Students are encouraged to bring supporting documentation to submit their financial aid application and admissions documents, such as official high school transcripts, GED certificate and proof of bacterial meningitis vaccine.
Fall semester classes begin on August 21. The college encourages students to complete their enrollment and registration as soon as possible to avoid delays with their financial aid and limited course availability.
