The inaugural Laredo College Golf Classic hit a hole-in-one success earlier this month. The Casa Blanca Golf Course played host to a morning filled with camaraderie and golfing excitement, bringing together volunteers, sponsors and golf enthusiasts.
Teams relished in the friendly competition, enjoying perks such as two mulligans, a Tiger Woods hole, longest drive challenges, two throw-outs from sand per team and one free putt per team.
Recognizing excellence, cash prizes were awarded to the top three teams:
$3,000 for first place: Jesse Valdez, Roberto J. Garza and Jaime Leija
$2,000 for second place: Cristobal Valdez, Armando Bustamante and Alfredo Espinoza
$1,000 for third place: Julio C. Gonzalez, Agustin Meza and Anthony Rodriguez
The funds raised during the tournament will support students through scholarships and important college initiatives.
