Laredo College announces Thanksgiving holiday closures, offers preview of December events

Laredo College will be closed for the week of Nov. 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
 
The college is grateful for the contributions of its students, faculty, staff and community partners, which have been integral to its success.
 
College offices will reopen and regular classes will resume on Monday, Dec. 2 at 8 a.m. Wintermester and spring semester registration will also resume on this date.
 
Additionally, the Financial Aid Offices at both campuses are extending their hours of operation from Monday, Dec. 2, to Thursday, Dec. 5, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. to assist students with their financial aid applications for the 2025-26 academic year. The first week of December will also feature several free events open to the community, offering both entertainment and career opportunities. These events include:
 
  • Monday, Dec. 2: Student Ensemble Concert at 6:15 p.m. at the historic Ft. McIntosh Campus’ Pvt. David B. Barkley Cantu Veterans Memorial Chapel
  • Wednesday, Dec. 4: Tree Lighting Ceremony from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Laredo College South Campus Hill
  • Thursday, Dec. 5: Laredo Cares Winter Job Fair from 9 a.m. to noon at the Laredo College South Campus Billy Hall Jr. Student Center
