LC opened its doors Saturday for spring registration

Laredo College will host the year’s first Palomino Saturday event on Jan. 11. These extended hours are provided for students’ convenience and as an opportunity to register for classes before the start of the spring semester on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

Palomino Saturday is an open house where both current and prospective students can start, continue or complete the enrollment and registration process. The Ft. McIntosh and South campuses will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the Lerma-Peña Building and the Billy Hall Jr. Building serving as the event locations for each campus, respectively.

“We understand how important it is for students to have easy access to the resources they need, and Palomino Saturday is designed to be a one-stop shop where students can connect with our departments,” LC Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management Jessica Treviño said. “We invite both returning and prospective students to join us. Our dedicated staff will be available to ensure that everyone has everything in place for a successful spring semester.”

Staff from the Admissions Office, Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid Office, Advising Center, Bursar’s Office, Recruitment and Dual Enrollment, Assessment Center, Veterans Services and other departments will assist students and answer questions about the college’s programs and career pathways.

First-time students are encouraged to bring necessary documentation to complete their financial aid application and admissions process, such as an official high school transcript, GED certificate and proof of the bacterial meningitis vaccine.
