Welcome to the Office of the Registrar
The Office of the Registrar works with the College’s administration, faculty and staff to collect and maintain student and course data, submit state and federal reports, process end-of-semester grade functions, and, process students for graduation. The Office of the Registrar is responsible for:
- Creating and proposing the Academic Calendar
- Working with the Instructional Departments for the creation of the semester /session Class Schedules
- Working with the Instructional Departments for the review of curriculum proposals and the maintenance of the College’s course inventory
- Generating class rolls for faculty
- Reviewing and verifying all student and course data for the submission of the Student and Class State Reports for both the Semester and Quarter systems
- Maintaining the College’s Semester Course Inventory
- Maintaining the College’s grade and academic standing rules
- Processing and mainting grade changes for faculty
- Notifying faculty of grade due dates
- Running the end-of-semester grade processes
- Setting up the degree audits for students
- Checking students for graduation requirements
Mission
To review, evaluate and disseminate federal, state and local policies that impact the functions of Laredo Community College while ensuring the integrity of student and course data.
