Where can I view my holds?

Why do I have an advising hold?
The purpose of the advising hold is to ensure students meet with an academic or faculty advisor to monitor degree progression, receive course recommendations relevant to their degree and plan for a timely graduation.
When should I meet with my advisor?
You should meet with your advisor before the start of a registration period. However, we encourage you to meet with an advisor on a regular basis to monitor your progress towards degree completion and seek support as needed.
What is the difference between an AA, AS, or AAS?
Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) are two-year general studies degrees a student should consider if they are planning to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor's degree. The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) is a two-year workforce degree specific to a field of study (e.g. Applied Accounting, Culinary Arts, Child Development, etc.).
How do I access my degree plan?

How do I change my major?
To change your major, meet with an academic advisor at the Advising Center. The advisor will complete and submit, on your behalf, a Declaration of Major Form to the Office of the Registrar, who will process your request.
Does the higher grade replace the lowest grade for a repeated course?
As per Laredo College policy, only the highest grade received for a repeated course will be used when computing the overall grade point average (GPA). However, all course attempts and grades will be included in your transcript. Be aware that upon transfer, some universities will include all grades when computing the transfer GPA. How do I drop a course?
Students receiving financial aid must first meet with the Office of Financial Aid to discuss how a course drop will impact their eligibility. After, to process course drop, students must submit an Add/Drop Form to the Office of the Registrar.
Students not receiving financial aid can process a course drop by submitting an Add/Drop Form to the Office of the Registrar.
