Policies
- Testing is done on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis. If all seats are taken, students will be placed on a waiting list.
- Due to space and staff limitations, it is not recommended to test entire classes or large groups of students.
- Testing services cannot displace regular classroom tests nor substitute for a faculty member who has missed/cancelled a class that had a quiz/test scheduled.
- Testing services should not be used to extend class testing time or to finish in-class assignments.
- For security purposes and to prevent loss of testing materials, we recommend that tests be delivered and picked up by the instructor or department secretary. Tests sent electronically or by fax will not be accepted.
- All test copies, whether completed or not, need to be picked up by the instructor.
- CLASS provides accommodation testing rooms for students who have requested for dictation from the Counseling and Disabilities Services. This must be approved and conversed to the CLASS staff before we can allow a student to use accommodations.
Security
The Center for Learning, Academic, and Student Success are dedicated to maintaining academic integrity. To safeguard the make-up testing process, CLASS will:
- require students to provide a physical photo identification before entering the testing room.
- monitor students by camera and audio equipment during testing.
If students use materials other than those authorized by the instructor or engage in suspicious behavior, CLASS will:
1). stop the test and document the incident.
2). collect relevant data.
3). notify the instructor.
The instructor then determines how to deal with the Academic Dishonesty incident.
