Student Conduct
The Student Discipline Office is responsible for promoting and enforcing the Laredo College Student Code of Conduct, which outlines the expectations and responsibilities of students at our college. Student Code of Conduct refers to the policies, rules and regulations that students are expected to follow while attending Laredo College. The Student Code of Conduct aims to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all members of our campus community. These policies are designed to ensure that students behave in a manner that is respectful, responsible, and safe. Some common examples of student conduct rules include:
- Scholastic Dishonesty/Academic Integrity: Students are expected to complete their own work and not cheat or plagiarize.
- Alcohol and Drug Use: Students are expected to follow the laws and regulations regarding alcohol and drug use.
- Respectful Behavior: Students are expected to treat others with respect and not engage in behavior that is discriminatory or harassing.
- Safety: Students are expected to follow safety guidelines and not engage in behavior that puts themselves or others at risk.
If a student violates any of these policies, they may face disciplinary action, which could include suspension or expulsion from the college. It is important for students to understand the policies and regulations regarding student conduct and to follow them to ensure a safe and positive college experience.
