Laredo College has been closely monitoring the weather forecast for Webb County and surrounding areas for next week. After careful assessment and consideration, the college will continue normal operations on Monday, Jan. 20. Both campuses will close on Tuesday, Jan. 21. All activities, classes and services will be canceled for the day. Normal operations will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. We urge everyone in our community to remain vigilant and heed the advice of local authorities.

The following set of courses have been adopted as a field of study for students seeking a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Biology.  Below is the suggested course order, students may decide to take certain courses based upon their semester of availability.  All courses must be completed before receiving degree.
Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Biology. For additional information concerning  the Biology field of study or transferability, please consult with advisors for the Natural Sciences Department at (956)721-5195.

The AS degree in Biology is designed to prepare students for various career opportunities in medicine, health fields, research, and education.  This program is intended to provide a foundation on which the graduate can build a career in biological sciences as they transfer to a 4-year university.
