Our mission reflects that of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, which states, “The objective of the mathematics component of the core curriculum is to develop a quantitatively literate college graduate. Every college graduate should be able to apply basic mathematical tools in the solution of real-world problems.”
Individuals considering careers in our area are encouraged to consult with Mathematics Department instructors to ensure a well-planned curriculum and compatibility with degree plans of specific four-year schools.
