The Office of Safety & Risk Management is committed to protecting lives, property, and the environment while supporting Laredo College's mission of transforming students' lives through education.
We achieve this mission by focusing on the five pillars of safety:
Prevention - Taking proactive steps to stop incidents before they happen.
Mitigation - Reducing risk and minimizing the impact of emergencies.
Preparedness - Building readiness through training, community awareness, and partnerships.
Response - Acting quickly before, during, and after an emergency to save lives and reduce harm.
Recovery - Restoring operations so out college community can return to normal as soon as possible.
The Safety and Risk Management Office is dedicated to promoting safety, environmental compliance, and effective risk management. We support the college community through education, hazard assessments, exposure mitigation, and responsible management of hazardous materials.
