At Laredo College, students have the option to obtain a Level ll Certification in Vocational Nursing (VN), and/or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) by either the Two-Year Program or the ADN Transition Program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Registered Nurse with Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) to BSN.
The ADN to BSN degree at Laredo College will cultivate leadership skills and emphasize the evaluation and application of nursing research, community health, and the use of informatics in health care. These skills will augment the professional attributes of licensed professional registered nurses (RNs). Upon graduation, students will be prepared to practice in progressive health care arenas, understand the importance of evidence-based practice (EBP) and lifelong learning, and/or apply to advanced practice degree programs.
Both the VN and ADN program are fully approved by the Texas Board of Nursing, 1801 Congress Avenue, Suite 10-200, Austin, Texas 78701.
