Patient Care Technician
Face-to-Face Program
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) training program will consist of 2 fast paced courses that will provide you the necessary skills to test obtain a National Healthcareer Association certification in Patient Care Technician (PCT/A). Students will learn to provide the basic patient care—bathing, feeding, catheter care; Compliance, safety & Professional responsibility; Infection Control; obtain EKG readings and monitor vital signs, perform phlebotomy procedures. The total contact hours for this program is 144, which will award a student completing an Occupational Skills Award.
Prior to Enrollment:
- Student must submit a PCT Application
- Must pass a 5-panel drug screen
- Must show proof of immunization records showing they have had: TDAP, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis A & B Series, Bacterial Meningitis vaccine, TB Test and Flu shot*, COVID-19 Vaccine*.
*Additional requirement for Externship.
