Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs
Welcome to the Division of Academic Affairs. The various instructional departments, programs, and services within the division have all been designed with a positive student experience in mind. The division consists of Academic Innovation & Technology, Arts & Sciences, Community Education, Health Sciences, and Workforce Education Divisions as well as the Bachelors of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership program. We offer certificates, associate and bachelor’s degrees.
At LC, our philosophy is simple. Our students and their learning experience come first. We promote educational programs and services of the highest standards, multiculturalism, and above all, strong student advocacy. We are responsible for providing educational environments that are innovative, inclusive, and accessible for all students.
By applying best practices for teaching and learning, our faculty create teaching strategies that allow our students to succeed.
We support assessment, accreditation, and compliance to align with our institutional mission that focuses on Student Success. We lead efforts that strengthen data-driven planning and implementation of student learning and program outcomes. Our educational programs align with Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Building a Talent Strong Texas to prepare students to join the workforce. We actively seek and develop strong partnerships with our community in an effort to provide experiential and collaborative opportunities for our students. We also uphold strong university partnerships so that students that have intentions to transfer to a university do so in a seamless manner.
