Welcome to the Accounting Office
The Accounting Office is to provide financal services to the Laredo College’s by maintening general ledger and accounting records. The office reconciles it's monetary accounts to provide accurate information describing the college’s financial position to internal departments and to the external users.
The financial information that is recorded is in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board reporting requirements, the National Association of College and Universities Business Administration requirements, and other pertinent industry guidelines.
Services Offered
Services provided by the Accounting Office include:
- Upkeep the chart of accounts in Banner Finance Module and account for all general ledger transactions
- Process requisitions for orders, payments to vendors, and submit 1099 at calendar year-end
- Assist departments in maintaining their budget throughout the fiscal year and coordinate annual budget implementation
- Assist travelers with monetary and policy questions related to travel before or after a travel occurs
- Serve as a financial and administrative liaison between college faculty/staff and grantors when dealing with grants and ensure that all sponsored programs activities are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations
- Submit various reports to federal, state, and local agencies
- Prepare monthly financial reports to Board of Trustees
- Prepare annual financial reports
