The goal of the Wellness Program is to promote employee well-being through services and programs that relate to the six dimensions of wellness: social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, environmental, and physical.
Wellness is a way of life aimed at reducing the risk of serious lifestyle-related diseases. Living a wellness lifestyle means taking responsibility for how one lives and the choices one makes concerning total well-being. The LC Employee Wellness Program can provide information and activities to help participants accept the personal challenge of a lifetime commitment to wellness. The fitness facilities available to wellness participants are located within the Laredo College Fort McIntosh and South campuses. Indoor facilities include:
- a gymnasium/fitness center
- weight rooms
- cardio rooms
- basketball court
Outdoor facilities include tennis courts and a lap pool.

- Wellness Assessments
- Cholesterol Screenings
- Exercise Prescription/Diet Analysis
- Supervised Group Fitness Activities
- Individual Fitness/Wellness Activities
- Wellness Education Lectures
Enrollment forms for the Wellness Program may be downloaded from the LC Intranet under Documents and Files/Wellness. Service fees will apply for the use of the facilities and employees will receive a discount. Please note the fees schedule is forthcoming.
