Student Employment

Students are required to have the following:

• Have applied for FAFSA

• Completed and submitted all outstanding tasks or documents

• Must have enough remaining financial aid unmet need

• Satisfy LC's SAP policy

• Must be enrolled at Laredo College

Students will be required to:

1. Check with Student Financial Aid for eligibility

   • If eligible, then you must complete a work-study application

2. Browse available work-study positions (scroll down)

3. Set up an interview with the supervisor for the job that interests you

4. If interviewed and hired, then you must:

   • Sign the application

   • Return it to the Office of Financial Aid at either campus

     • Be sure to include a valid government ID and social security card

5. If offered a federal work-study position, then you must complete additional paperwork before starting employment. No work-study is allowed to start employment without getting approved by Human Resources and Office of Financial Aid.

Direct deposit is available to work-study employees at Laredo College. Take advantage of this opportunity and avoid waiting for your paycheck to arrive in the mail.

For institutional positions students do not need to quialify for federal aid. If interested, then you will have to meet the departmental requirements (must visit with supervisor).
