After a two-year hiatus, Laredo College is excited to bring back the Fall Fest for an exciting afternoon full of free entertainment for people of all ages.
Community members from Laredo and surrounding areas will be able to enjoy a fun-filled, family-friendly outing on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Laredo College South Campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
This year’s Halloween-themed celebration will include a costume contest from 5 to 6 p.m. for three different age groups: 5-11 years old, 12-17 years old and 18 and over.
Another main attraction this year will be Lucha Maniaks, who will be presenting multiple matches featuring renowned wrestlers such as Puma King, Toxin and Epydemius Jr., as well as multiple local luchadores. The wrestling matches will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
Those in attendance will enjoy free games and activities courtesy of our LC employees, student clubs and campus organizations. Additionally, C-Lo from HOT 106.1 will bring the DJ for the evening, and this fun outdoor event will be capped off with a live performance from local band Calle 8.
“We invite the whole community to come and enjoy our South Campus and all of the programs we offer,” said Dean of South Campus Priscilla Medina. “Our instructional departments will provide information about their respective areas for attendees who want to learn more about our different programs. Our departments will also be providing free activities for the children.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on the grass to watch the lucha matches and bring cash for the food and snacks that will be sold.
