LC announces closure, urges students to stay safe over spring break

The Laredo College District is observing the spring break holiday from March 11 to March 15 with closures at both campuses. College offices will resume normal operations on Monday, March 18 at 8 a.m.

Prospective students interested in learning more about Laredo College’s academic and workforce programs during the break can visit www.laredo.edu. The public can also visit the college’s social media platforms for upcoming events, announcements and institutional updates.

As part of an annual tradition, the Office of Student Life held its Safe and Sober events where students learned about how to stay safe and still have fun on spring break.

Staff and students sipped on mocktails and Laredo College PD conducted field sobriety tests to demonstrate how drinking impairs drivers and can lead to fatal consequences. The college also hosted community partners SCAN and PILLAR to provide students with resources and information about the significance of prioritizing their physical and emotional health.

Through the different activities, Palominos were encouraged to go out, meet new people and have fun in safe ways.

We wish everyone a safe and restful holiday break and look forward to seeing our students back renewed and ready to take on a new academic term.
