LC and LISD continue working together for our community

Laredo College and Laredo Independent School District (LISD) are once again teaming up to showcase the offerings available for our community and to make becoming an LC Palomino as easy as 1-2-3.

The Laredo College in our Community event is on Tuesday, April 16 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the LISD Fine and Performing Arts Dr. Marcus Nelson Conference Center and will be open to the community. The event strives to help members in the community learn about the many opportunities found at the college with individualized help and guidance.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the different LC programs as well as complete any pending items needed for admissions and financial aid. Furthermore, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and talk with members of the LC departments and obtain information about our programs.

“Laredo College is ready to welcome everyone wanting to pursue any of our exciting and available careers and degrees,” LC Director of Recruitment and Dual Enrollment Julio Reyes said. “We look forward to providing the best and most accessible higher education for those in our community interested in taking new steps into their future.”

The event was created to bring the college closer to the community and was developed between LISD and LC as a way to bolster the connection of local educational partners for the benefit of those living in Laredo.

With this in mind, working together for this event is another example of how powerful the connection between educational entities is and how it helps expand the scope of progress and resources needed for everyone in the community to fulfill their goals.

This collaboration continues the mission of providing as much information about available opportunities for those in the community interested in moving forward with their education or interested in a new career.

Ultimately, those that attend can go home with new knowledge on what LC has to offer and possibly leave as a college student, ready to start their journey at their new alma mater.
