The City of Laredo and Laredo College announced an exciting summer partnership that opens the doors of the college’s swimming pool to the community starting Tuesday, June 4.
During the summer, community members can enter the Laredo College swimming pool with their families just as they can access all the other public pools owned and managed by the City of Laredo Parks & Recreation Department.
The Laredo College Sports Complex pool entrance will be free to Laredo College students and employees who present their Palomino ID. The City of Laredo will be charging a $1 fee for children 11 years and under and $2 for those 12 and over. The pool’s hours of operation will be Tuesday to Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
This collaboration expands the recreational options available to the citizens, especially during the summer. Additionally, it enhances the ability to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, offering more venues for fitness, leisure and community engagement.
City of Laredo officials and Laredo College leaders agree that this MOU symbolizes the power of partnership and demonstrates how the community can grow by working together.
