Laredo College proudly hosted its Esports National Championship Ring Ceremony last week, honoring the exceptional Valorant team for their remarkable victory at the national level.
The special ceremony brought together the Laredo College community to celebrate the team’s success. The evening was marked by a sense of camaraderie and unity as the team received their championship rings and heard heartfelt words from both team members and supporters.
LC Director of Recreation & Esports Ivan Cano credited the team’s success to their unwavering determination and hard work throughout the year.
“This national championship is not just a victory, it is the culmination of countless hours of practice, planning and commitment,” Cano said. “I have seen each one of our players give their all, balancing their roles on the team with their school duties and other responsibilities. It has been an honor to witness their journey and celebrate their success.”
Each team member proudly donned their championship ring, symbolizing their collective achievements and personal dedication. This year’s Valorant team champions include top-rated players Jonathan “Boogie” Nieto, Eduardo “Soerz” Garza, Daniel “Yuqii” Alcorta, Emiliano “Kurinki” Godina and Hector “Valt” Rico.
The Valorant team’s victory marks a significant milestone in the college’s esports program, reflecting the commitment and talent of its student-athletes. The college looks forward to continuing its success and supporting its teams in future competitions as they strive for another successful year.
